A flexible high-speed drill and dowel machine in combination with a robot offers more efficiency. The robot loads and unloads up to 4 moving tables, which ensures a fast and accurate feeding of workpieces into the drill and dowel machine. Up to 4 parts could be processed at the same time, depending on the size.  The solution is able to process around 160 parts an hour, dowels mainly on 2 sides.

The CNC processing center in combination with a drill and dowel machine with robot support forms a flexible cell for the furniture production. In this combination, the robot unloads the nested based router, if necessary buffers the parts and loads them if needed into the drill and dowel machine before they get fed out of the whole cell. It does not have to take a break, can work around the clock on the shop floor and ensures consistently high quality. A vision system helps the robot to detect the parts on the nest. The solution is able to process around 125-150 parts an hour, depending on dowel volume.
