LIGNA 2011: Bargstedt & Ligmatech Update

Bargstedt and Ligmatech offer a tremendous amount of new technology and equipment to be excited about from an automation perspective at Ligna 2011.

Bargstedt + Ligmatech -Joe KeilenJoe Keilen reporting from LignaBargstedt + Ligmatech -zhr500Ligmatech ZHR500Ligmatech has launched several new advancements and technologies at this show for each of their respective areas of expertise; return conveyors, assembly and packaging. To begin with return conveyors, Ligmatech is premiering the ZHR500, which features a gantry style transfer unit, capable of turning parts 90 or 180 degrees, and also capable of down-stacking, this is a perfect fit for companies processing large parts.

In the assembly area, Ligmatech is presenting the new MPH450 with material handling featured on the infeed and outfeed, to assist in the preassembly, infeed, outfeed and uprighting of tall cases. This assembly solution is a perfect fit for kitchen cabinet assembly operations up to 150 to 200 boxes per day. Finally Ligmatech has launched two new products in the packaging area. The first new packaging product in an entry level box box folding machine for pre-cut corrugated, the VKF100. Ligmatech is also launching their brand new VKS200, which is a batch size one box cutting machine. This machine is designed for the use of fan-fold corrugated, based upon Pack-Size technology.

Bargstedt is showing significant advancements in their Intelligent Storage and Sorting Solutions. Within the IntelliStore product line up, Bargstedt is launching their new Profi TLF210 retrieval system. This system is shown in a cellular concept along with a Weeke Vantage router, a Holzma panel saw, Homag Ambition Edgebander and a Weeke BHX boring machine, in a highly efficient work cell in less than 4000 square feet. The Bargstedt IntellSstore TLF210 features several new functions within the entry level retrieval system range. This system is shown in direct linkage and communication with the Holzma saw and Weeke Router, and also features a full IntelliStore software package which allows for full material inventory tracking, including dating and supplier data. It is also featuring panel verification for size, and weight, as well as sensors to verify the positioning (angle) of the panel within the storage system. This breakthrough launch allows small to mid-size shops to have the tracking and storage capability along with the highest level of efficiency and inventory minimization that has previously only been available on larger scales, for bigger shops.

Bargstedt is also showing their more advanced IntelliStore model, TLF420. The highlight of this system is the new vacuum carriage technology, which is currently under patent review, and can not be further elaborated upon at this time. This system also has full panel size, weight and position verification capability.

[IMAGE ‘1536’ /]In the IntelliSort program Bargstedt is showing two different and brand new styles of systems. Intellisort systems allow shops the capability to optimize their initial operations to the fullest extent, while giving the flexibility to re-organize the sequence of the components for the secondary processes, allowing for the optimum level of flexibility and efficiency. This functionality is given in a very small footprint, and a broad range of part sizes and types. Component sizes can range from large sheets down to extremely small components, also including shaped, framed, or components with cut outs, on the revolutionary Bargstedt designs! The Bargstedt solutions use placement and retrieval carriages without vacuum cups, allowing the system the flexibility to be used on the broad range of sizes, shapes and materials. These systems allowed for parts to be grouped upon placement, and retrieved together for kitted assemblies, or secondary processes, while also being flexible enough to allow for individual access to each component stored within the system. The new Bargstedt Intellisort program takes optimizing production to previously unobtainable levels!
